Timothy T. Brett

A native and life time resident of St. Petersburg, Tim is the oldest son of founder, Thomas J. Brett. He is a 1975 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science, Atlanta, GA, and also a graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College. He is married to Sue Downing Brett, and has one son, Thomas. Tim is active with his church, the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle, where he serves as a Eucharistic minister. He has also served on several church committees, including the annual golf tournament, which he has chaired for several years. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Terrence E. Brett

A native and lifetime resident of St. Petersburg, Terry grew up in the family business. He is a 1977 graduate of Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science, Atlanta, GA, and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Studies from Eckerd College, St. Petersburg. He is married to Kim Akerson Brett, an attorney in St. Petersburg, and has three children, Kristen, David and Drew. Their son Patrick passed away in 2005. Terry currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Arts Center of St. Petersburg, and also serves as a board member for St. Anthony's Hospital Foundation, and the YMCA of St. Petersburg. In 2008, Terry was appointed as a Trustee for St. Petersburg College by Florida Governor Charlie Crist. Terry is Past Chairman of St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Past Chairman of the Presidents Associates at Eckerd College, Past-President of the St. Petersburg College Alumni Association, Past-President of the Lakeview Fundamental School PTA, and Past-Chairman of the Leadership St. Pete Planning Committee. He also serves on the Board at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Born in Filbert, WV, Pete has been a resident of St. Petersburg since 1955. He has also been a Licensed Funeral Director for over 50 years. He started his career in funeral service in Welch, WV. After moving to St. Petersburg, Pete worked at Sears & Roebuck, retiring after 30 years as department manager. He has been with Brett Funeral Home since 1985. A long time member of Cathedral of St. Jude in St. Petersburg, he served as Head of the Usher corps, and is a Life Member and Past President of the St. Petersburg Lions Club. Pete is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, the Holy Name Society, and the Sons of Italy. He has been married to Margaret Grasso for over 50 years and has four children.
