Obituary

Elisa Encinosa (“Mima”) was born March 17, 1931 in Havana, Cuba. She was the youngest of sixteen children in a simple, farming family with extremely strong work ethic. She dedicated her whole life to her family and will always be remembered for her great cooking and seamstress skills. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Patricio Encinosa, the love of her life. She was also preceded in death by her oldest son, Leopoldo Encinosa. She is survived by her daughter, Elba Acosta (Romeo), and her sons, Ernesto Encinosa (Maria Elena) and Eduardo Encinosa (Odette); 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will take place Tuesday, August 21 at 1PM at the chapel of the Cathedral of St. Jude. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
