Mary B. Perry, 69, St. Petersburg, passed away June 1,2018 at St. Anthony's Hospital. Mary was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt and a friend to all who knew her.
She was a patron of the arts, particularly for the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg and the Tampa Museum of Art, where she was a trustee. Mary was a founding member of the Collectors Circle and originated "Art in Bloom" at the MFA. She started "Bridging the Bay," bringing together patrons of both museums.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Perry, M.D., St. Petersburg; her parents, Carmel and Rose Dougall of Tarxien, Malta. She is survived by her son, Richard G. Said, St. Petersburg; stepdaughter Anne Perry, MD; stepson, Richard Perry III; sister, Bernadette Darmanin (husband, Francis) and brother, Joseph Dougall (wife, Anna) and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Malta; and legions of friends all over the world.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, the Tampa Museum of Art or The Marie Selby Gardens.
