Obituary

Frank would light up any room he walked into. You knew the fun times had arrived, with laughter, stories and lots of jokes to come. He always knew how to make everyone feel like family.

His first love was his family. Frank was a devoted son to Lenore who he always took care of. He is now reunited with his father, Frank, and brothers, Larry, Paul, and Bobby.

He was a loving husband to his wife of 43 years, Nicole. He was so proud of the daughters they had raised together, Jessica and Chelsea, and Steve and Justin became the sons he never had. And ohh...Olivia! She stole his heart from day one! He loved being her Pops, and absolutely adored every new little thing she learned. The highlight of Frank's day was picking up Olivia from daycare. He also relished the unconditional love of his dogs over the years - Zoe, Rigby, Bisou, Zola, Sassy, Kiwi, and Barney.

Frank always looked forward to family gatherings with many brothers and sisters who were no longer considered in-laws. He lived for the moments he spent with nieces and nephews, and their families. Frank shared a special lifelong bond since childhood with his best friend, Ken Hoffman, and he gathered countless friends over the years.

Traveling was one of Frank and Nicki's most treasured memories. From Italy to Ireland, Alaska to Aruba, and Paris, France to the Paris Hotel in Vegas, he enjoyed eating and drinking his way through each destination. And cruises became a favorite way to create cherished family memories.

But back at home, if the Tampa Bay Lightning or Canes were playing on TV, you would be sure to find him on his favorite spot on the couch, remote in hand. He was a die-hard fan and never missed a game. Loved ones always received "Go Lightning" texts before puck drop on gameday. Frank was a dedicated sports fan for his daughters as well. He coached their soccer team at Holy Family Catholic School and never missed a volleyball game, all the while building special bonds with his daughters' friends. He was known as the "Funcle" and to many as Mr. Frank, Hollywood, Papa Pajak, the President, and Mr. P.

Frank bravely battled cancer for 9 months but sadly passed away after multiple infections set in.

We appreciate your kind words and sentiments. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made in Frank's honor to the Ryan Callahan Foundation (#24 of the Tampa Bay Lightning). Ryan and his wife Kyla support families going through pediatric cancer treatments. Donations can be sent to Ryan Callahan Foundation, 65 C Monroe Avenue, Pittsford, NY 14534 or at ryancallahanfoundation.org.

He will be missed greatly by his family and friends but is only a pleasant memory away. Remember his smile and feel his love.
