Obituary

Donna Williams was born on November 25, 1951 in Russell, Kansas and passed away on February 26, 2018 in St. Petersburg, Florida. She died much too young due to the effects of a sudden stroke. Donna grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors degree in Education. She moved to Houston, Texas after school and worked as an Elementary school teacher. She taught mentally and physically handicapped children. She met her husband, Lee, during a 4th of July visit to her parents. They got married on June 4, 1977 at her sister, Brenda’s church in Beaumont, Texas. They lived in Houston, Texas where they had two children, Angela and Bill. The family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1990. In 1995, they moved to Brussels, Belgium where they began an extraordinary international adventure. Donna loved Christmas and went all out every year. One year, we celebrated Christmas (believe it or not) in Abu Dhabi and another in Tunisia as well as events in Paris, London, St. Petersburg, Russia and other great cities. She was a member of the Catholic Church and always trusted God to see the family through. In 1999, the family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. Donna was a great first mate on their boat Endeavor. She waterskied, wake boarded, snow skied, scuba dived, played golf and went to Jerry’s Strength Class at the Vinoy 3 times a week when possible. Her passion was her children, Angela and Bill and her grandchildren, Rae, Reese, Lee and Nora. Even though life threw a number of medical challenges at Donna, she handled them with grace and a smile on her face. Donna is survived by her husband, Lee, her daughter Angela Rashba, son Bill Williams, sister Brenda White, brother Allen Bolt , son-in-law Dan Rashba, daughter-in law Jodi Williams, granddaughters Rae Rashba, Reese Rashba, and Nora Williams, grandson, Lee Williams, brother-in-law Cullen White, and sister-in-law Jena Bolt. She is also loved deeply by her nieces and nephews, Ashley, Tab, William, Edward and Bradley Bryan, Eddie, Samantha and Den Edson, Bob Edson, Patrick, Misty, Kyia, Kalee and Jessica Bolt and Tyler, Melissa and Alyssa Bolt, Jannie and Mike Stubbs.
