Richard (Dick) Jolliff, 84, of St. Petersburg, passed away January 31, 2018 after several weeks of illness. Richard was born June 1, 1933, in Wooster, Ohio, to Leo and Ferne Jolliff. He graduated high school in Wooster and attended college at Hiram College in Ohio. He married Paula Jolliff in 1953, and moved his family to St. Petersburg in 1958. He was a career salesman, working first for Moore Business Forms and then Better Business Forms in the Tampa-St. Pete area. He loved tennis, riding his bike and playing bridge with his wife, Paula, and their close friends. He and Paula loved to travel together. After his retirement, he dedicated his time and took great pride as a 20-year volunteer with the St. Petersburg Police Department in their forensics photo lab and as a road patrol officer. He retired from the police department last year.
Mr. Jolliff was preceded in death by his wife Paula Jolliff. He is survived by two sons and their spouses, Cliff Jolliff and Elaine Gerke, who live in Maysville, Georgia, and Brad and Joy Jolliff, who live in St. Louis; by two granddaughters and their spouses, Katherine (married to Will Dunn, living in New Orleans), and Lauren (married to Jaco Haasbroek, living in Reston, Virginia); and great grandson, Noah Haasbroek. A memorial service will be held at the Westminster Shores Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 3:00 pm. Arrangements are with Brett Funeral Home .
