of South Pasadena, Florida and previously of Gulfport, FL and Brooklyn, NY passed away quietly and peacefully on Dec. 31, 2016 at the age of 96 years. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she worked as a legal secretary for many years. After spending several winters in Florida, she decided to enjoy nice weather year round and moved to Gulfport, Florida in Town Shores and eventually to The Fountains in South Pasadena. She loved traveling, dancing, plays and musicals, reading and keeping busy with her volunteer work at the VA Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter, Morine (nee Ostapowitz) (Ronald) Schwenkler, grand children, Karin Schwenkler, Cindy (Ed) Furey and Ronald (Audra) Schwenkler and five great grandchildren, Pierce, Kai, Grace, Ava and Conrad. Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Ostapowitz, second husband Steve Makarewicz, son, Raymond Ostapowitz and brother, John (Sue) Solovey.
Ann will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
A memorial service and burial will be held at St. Charles Cemetery at noon on November 10, 2017.
