Obituary

Miraim E. Hattori of St. Petersburg, Fl and Fishers, IN born in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 20, 1931.
Miriam attended nursing school in Honolulu, HI, after which she accepted a job at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago and ultimately became head Pediatric Nurse. She met her beloved husband, Kiyo, at a Thanksgiving dinner in Chicago, sparking a wonderful lifelong journey of marriage and family.
Miriam practiced nursing in her earlier years, but her greatest accomplishment was raising two sons and a daughter to become warm, kind and successful individuals, just like her and Kiyo. Miriam was loved and admired by those she touched throughout her lifetime, and was widely known for her warm and generous heart, gregarious personality, sharp wit and contagious laugh. Never one to be shy, she had an uncanny way of quickly making new friends everywhere she went. Her spunky personality and beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Miriam is preceded in death by her loving husband, Kiyo, of 54 years. She is survived by her three children, Robert, Amy and William (wife Leesa), and grandchildren Stephanie, Michael, Brett, Matthew and Lexys, and great grandchildren Magnolia, Melody, and Maddox.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Miriam's name to Daystar Life Center or the American Cancer Society.
