Sandra Love (Glendinning) Soderberg 76, of St. Petersburg passed away at home with family by her side on May 7th. She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Thomas Soderberg; children, Skip and Shelly Love; step-son, Eric Soderberg (Regina); sister, Sherry White (Larry). She was blessed with and loved by her four grandchildren, Angela, Emily, Sam, and Ian. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Glendinning, Jr. Sandy was a 1959 graduate of St. Petersburg High School where she was co-captain of the swim team. She worked for the St. Petersburg Police Department for many years. She was a talented quilter, pianist, and avid gardener. She was also an accomplished artist, working in various mediums. She was secretary and then later she was historian of the Bay Area Daylily Society. Sandy earned her black belt in karate at the age of 51. She loved to scuba dive and was always happiest when she was in the water. She was an award winning underwater photographer and would never miss an opportunity to go on a night dive. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, pancan.org. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Tuesday, May 15th, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Brett Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Memorial Park at 1:30.
