KUMICK, Amelia (Mimi), former owner of Florida Estate Center, Point Brittany, died January 4, 2018. A Philadelphia native, she came here from Wyndmoor, PA in 1961. She retired as accounting supervisor of Sunny Shores Retirement Home in 1991. Mrs. Kumick was named Boss of the Year in 1984 by the Mermaid Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. She was past president of St. Anthony's Hospital Auxiliary, of which she was a life member. She was a life member of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for St. Petersburg and a life member of Friends of Strays. She belonged to St. Petersburg Country Club and was an avid bridge player. She served three terms on the Church Council of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She is survived by her son Albert R. Kumick. Friends will be received at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 1600 54th Ave. So., Friday, Jan. 12th from 10:30AM to mass time at 11AM.
